At the start of the summer holidays Caitlin Britten of Year 10 bravely took the plunge of having her hair shaved off for charity.
Caitlin underwent the personal transformation as a means of raising funds for the Macmillan Cancer appeal. Her efforts raised £244.00 for the charity. Caitlin had lost her grandma to cancer a few years ago so she decided to do this in her memory, as well as in support of others who suffer from the illness.
Having worn her hair long for many years, Caitlin told us: “I felt really nervous about having my hair cut and I was really glad when it was all over.”
Well done Caitlin and congratulations. We are really proud of you and it is good to see you looking so smart with your new hairstyle.
