Humanities is the understanding of human life. It includes where we have come from, the environment we live in and what we believe in. In essence it is about who we are as people. It helps us to understand the world around us.
At an academic level, history, geography and RSI are subjects that gain a wide respect from employers and further education institutions alike, providing a wealth of opportunities for students who study them.

RSI: What is RSI? Why is the Buddha so special? What is the difference between going on a journey as a tourist and as a pilgrim? Why should we help the poor and those in need? Did God create the universe? Does suffering make it impossible to believe in God?
Geography: What is geography? Map Skills, Settlement, Transport, Weather and Climate. Weathering and Erosion, Primary Industries, Secondary Industries, Population and Migration, Discovering Africa. Climates of the World, Tourism, Natural Hazards and Developing Countries.
History: Historical skills and overview, Medieval state, society and religion, Journey Through Time and a local history study. The Reformation, Civil War, Mughal India, The French Revolution, The Industrial Revolution and the Slave Trade. World War One, Changes of the 1920s, Rise of Fascism, World War Two and Impact of the Holocaust.

RSI: Religious attitudes to contraception, religious attitudes to sex-outside of marriage and abortion. College applications, college interview preparation, study skills, sexual exploitation, equality, discrimination and homophobia.
GCSE Religious Education: Religion and Life: Belief in God, Matters of Life and Death, Marriage and the Family, Religion and Community Cohesion. Religion and Society: Rights and Responsibilities, Environmental and Medical Ethics, Peace and Conflict, Crime and Punishment.
Geography: Challenges of Living in a Built Environment, People and Natural World Interactions, Uneven Development and Sustainable Environments.
History: Medicine Through Time, American West, Public Health in the 19th Century and a controlled assessment on local history.
