Both staff and students of the Academy have been engaged in running a number of fun activities to help raise money in support of the BBC’s Children in Need appeal.
During break time the dining hall became an extremely popular location as the bun sale took place. There was also a cookie decoration competition, guess the number of sweets in the jar, count the calories and cake raffle. Students from the Bridge also sold decorated cakes and gingerbreads.
The day’s events proved to be really successful raising £380.00 for the appeal.
Ms Matthews, Headteacher, commented: “I would like to say thank you to everyone who has taken part in both running and supporting these fabulous events. It makes me really proud to see our students being caring and supportive towards others.”
BBC Children in Need provides grants to projects in the UK which focus on children and young people who are disadvantaged, aiming to empower children and extend their life choices.
