New for 2016-17 we have introduced 20 minutes of study skills time during each day.
During this time students are focusing on key skills needed to prepare them to be effective independent learners.
The topics covered include; getting organised, setting learning goals, revision techniques, scanning and skimming, exam literacy, growth mind-set, mathematical techniques and reading for meaning, to name just a few.
Each week we will link parents to one of these skill lessons through our app, twitter and website to enable you to discuss this with your child when they get home.
We hope that by linking teachers, students and parents to these important key skills we are equipping our young people for life-long educational success.
