Staff and Students Support Fusion Food Bank with Generous Donations
In a heart-warming initiative to support the local community, the Academy's staff and students joined forces to collect non-perishable food items and toiletries for the Fusion Food Bank in Dewsbury. Mrs Sheard, a Science teacher at the Academy, organised the collection, encouraging each form group to fill a box with donations.
As part of the challenge, students were tasked with gathering essential items for those in need and decorating their donation boxes creatively. One form group from each year was awarded a prize for submitting the best decorated box, adding an element of fun and competition to the charity event.
Congratulations to the following forms, who will receive a prize for their efforts: 7LH, 8EB, 9LN, 10ALW, and 11HS.
We are immensely grateful to all the staff, students, and parents who contributed to this vital cause. The support we received shows the true spirit of our Academy, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to deliver these goods to the Fusion Food Bank.
