The band which included singers, guitarists and a drummer played a set of popular songs including Feliz Navidad, Rocking around the Christmas tree and Last Christmas. There was even an impromptu rendition of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer with a solo from one of the audience members.

Mr Laurent, Music teacher at the Academy, arranged for the band to give the lunchtime performance. He told us: "The band did a fantastic job for their first gig together and it was good to see the residents singing and even dancing along. Everyone seemed to have a lovely time." 

We are really pleased by the commitment demonstrated by our students in attending rehearsals and for generously offering their talents to entertain the residents of the care home.
