Academy Choir Spreads Festive Cheer
Academy students have been spreading some festive cheer over the last couple of weeks with a series of musical performances.
A choir comprising students from all year groups sang a range of Christmas favourites in venues across the community and in the Academy.
The group visited Field Head Court care home and Red Laithes Court day care centre, followed by a third date entertaining the guests at the Academy's Community Christmas Lunch.
The students performed with great enthusiasm, combining quality singing with a few energetic dance moves thrown in to impress their audiences with classic Christmas songs, including Rocking Around the Christmas Tree, Feliz Navidad, and the audience singalong, Must Be Santa.
Mr Laurent, Music teacher, organised the festive performances. He told us: “All of the students in the choir represented the Academy brilliantly and can be commended on making everyone feel super Christmassy.”
