Celebrating Diversity with Successful Second Annual Ramadan Community Iftar
We were delighted to welcome parents, students and friends to the Academy for our second annual Ramadan Community Iftar.
As an Academy, we are proud of our diverse student body and place great importance on developing students’ knowledge and understanding of faiths and cultures. Britain is a wonderfully diverse place to live, and we hope this event showcases just that.
Iftar is the meal Muslims have when breaking their fast during Ramadan. Fasting is one of the five pillars of Islam and is a time when Muslims open their doors to family, friends, and neighbours. As an Academy, we are excited to do just that: open our school doors and invite members of our school community and their families to unite.
This event was planned to encourage our school communities to come together in the spirit of unity and togetherness, learn more about the holy month of Ramadan, and share in good food and company.
We are most grateful to our staff and students, who volunteered to assist with the event, making it a huge success. Without their support, the event would not have been possible. It was a fabulous team effort, and we are delighted that the Community Iftar was well received by those attending.
We wish everyone observing Ramadan a blessed month and a joyful Eid al-Fitr celebration.
